RECYC-QUÉBEC

Proud to present the eco-responsible initiatives of the MNAQ.

HOW CAN I REDUCE MY ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT AS A VISITOR?

Protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility. You can reduce your ecological footprint by taking a few simple steps:

#1 COME TO THE MARKET BY BUS

Simple, affordable and effective solution to avoid traffic jams and the search for parking, while fighting against climate change! To make your travels easier, download and use the RTC mobile apps. The RTC Nomade temps réel app (Apple Store / Google Play) allows you to get the bus route schedules. The RTC Nomade paiement app (Apple Store / Google Play) allows you to buy your tickets using your phone.

The MNAQ caculates the emissions generated by the event and is committed to increase its compensation every year through the purchase of carbon credits. Participate in the movement by compensating for your own travels!

#2 BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE CONTAINERS, CUPS, GLASSES AND BAGS

You will reduce your consumption of single-use items and enjoy a good mulled wine in your favorite cup!

Forgot your glass or mug? No problem! All kiosks operated by the Québec City German Christmas Market now have their own returnable and reusable glasses! To encourage our efforts in sustainable development, your can donate your cup deposit via the appropriate containers.

#3 SORT YOUR WASTES AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

You will make a difference by taking the time to properly sort your disposable materials. Recycling bins are available on the various sites of the Market.

In 2024, the MNAQ will continue its sustainable development initiatives with the objective of: less than 0.16 kg of waste per person, per day!

Don't forget... If you can eat it, you can compost it!
