Impaired mobility

Absolutely! Route 11 of the RTC bus circuit is fully accessible to people in wheelchairs, and it stops at the Hôtel de Ville de Québec, right in front of the Market. It is also possible for STAC paratransit to stop on Ste-Anne street to let you down safely, directly in front of the entrance of the Québec City German Christmas Market. For more information, visit the Réseau de Transport de la Capitale website

Yes, for the most part. Unfortunately, the electrical wires used to power the kiosks and other facilities may require you to make a few detours in order to move around safely with your wheelchair. Apart from that point, you can easily access all the sites of the Québec City German Christmas Market. However, you should note that weather conditions can make some places slippery, so be careful when you move around. It's also possible that circulating through the exhibitor booths area will be more difficult on busier days. To fully enjoy your experience and to have a more enjoyable visit, we recommend avoiding crowds and coming on Thursdays or Fridays.

The show stages, the exhibitor kiosks, the Aux Traditions d'Alsace restaurant, and the bars are all wheelchair accessible. However, the height of the kiosks currently exceeds the maximum recommended height of 120 cm, so it can be difficult for people in wheelchairs to see the products at the back of the kiosks. Note, however, that the exhibitors are very friendly, and they will assist you with pleasure to show you the products that are more difficult to access. Unfortunately, the Kinderchalet Ravensburger is not wheelchair accessible, due to the stairs.

Yes. The Québec City German Christmas Market uses the restrooms of the Hôtel de Ville de Québec parking lot, with an access on Des Jardins Street. These restrooms are adapted for people with impaired mobility.
